Mike Tindall will compete directly with Prince Harry as both men release books on the same day.

The former rugby player’s new book, ‘The Good, The Bad & The Rugby – Unleashed’, co-authored with Alex Payne and James Haskell, will hit the shelves on Thursday, offering a glimpse into their podcast, friendship, and rugby experiences.

Tindall, who is married to Zara Tindall, Prince Harry’s cousin, reveals in his book that he was once teased by James about Prince Andrew’s infamous Newsnight interview.

On the same day, Prince Harry is also releasing the paperback version of his book ‘Spare’. The hardback edition was initially launched in the UK on January 10, 2023, to huge global controversy.

In the book, dedicated to his wife Meg and children Archie and Lili, as well as his late mother, the Duke of Sussex makes several accusations about the Royal Family. He alleges a physical altercation with his brother, Prince William, claiming that William grabbed him by the collar, threw him to the floor, and broke a dog bowl with his back, before declaring: “I didn’t attack you, Harold.”

The Duke also labels his mother-in-law, Queen Camilla, as ‘dangerous’ and a ‘villain’, accusing her of sacrificing him to bolster her reputation.

In his new book, Tindall has shared his experience of joining the Royal Family in 2011 after marrying Zara, and it seems he may have subtly taken a swipe at Meghan Markle. He stated: ‘Believe it or not, marrying into the Royal Family was pretty easy for me. They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them. Simple really.”

His account appears to starkly contrast with Meghan Markle’s description of her time within The Firm, which led to her and Prince Harry stepping down from all Royal duties less than two years after their wedding.

Tindall and wife Zara are reported to have had a falling out with Harry and Meghan after the latter couple left the Royal Family, and then publicly criticised them. The former rugby star has a close relationship with Prince William.
