On Sunday, Meghan Markle introduced a new friendship with actor and philanthropist Kimberly Williams-Paisley during a lunch at the Montecito hotspot Tre Lune. Photos published by the Daily Mail show the duo leaving the restaurant, the same place where Meghan celebrated her 42nd birthday last fall.

For the outing, Meghan sported a casual look with jeans from La Ligne and a white button-down shirt by Anine Bing, accessorized with aviator sunglasses. Despite the relaxed attire, she paid homage to her royal connections with a gold Cartier watch from Princess Diana’s collection—a gift from Prince Harry—and a Dior Lady D-Lite bag, named after the late princess.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the wife of country music star Brad Paisley, is renowned for her role in the 1991 romantic comedy “Father of the Bride.” A longtime resident of the upscale Santa Barbara community where Meghan and Harry have lived since summer 2020, Williams-Paisley has a deep connection to the area. Following the wildfires and mudslides in 2018, she expressed her affection for the region in a press release for a fundraising concert. “Kim and I fell in love with Santa Barbara and the Montecito area on our honeymoon,” she wrote. “It feels like small-town America by the sea.”

Meghan’s previous public appearance was at the ESPYs Awards on July 11, where Prince Harry received the 2024 Pat Tillman Award for Service in recognition of his work with the Invictus Games, the competition for wounded service members he co-founded in 2014. After Harry’s speech, the couple was photographed backstage with their friend Serena Williams.
