Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Will Cain is set to replace Neil Cavuto in the 4 p.m. time slot on the Fox News Channel.

The launch of The Will Cain Show on Jan. 21 follows Cavuto leaving Fox News after 28 years. Cain’s new show will see the host bring a “signature podcast style,” the Fox News Channel said on Monday, as conversations with newsmakers from across politics, business, culture and sports will be featured.

Cain’s last appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend is set for Jan. 18, when he will be replaced by Fox News contributor Charlie Hurt as a new co-host

“Will Cain brings years of experience to the 4 p.m. hour as an accomplished broadcaster and a lawyer and we look forward to adding his insights to what will no doubt be another historic news cycle ahead this year,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement on Monday that also outlined a host of programming changes at her network.

Cavuto had been a staple of Fox’s lineup, and over the years had added responsibilities including as senior VP and managing editor of business news for both Fox News and Fox Business Network. At Fox Business Network, Cavuto also hosted special event coverage, including election nights.

Cavuto’s exit also means the number of original Fox News stars continues to shrink. Primetime host Sean Hannity is one, as is Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy. Brit Hume, chief political analyst, is another.

Cain getting the new assignment on the Fox News Channel is part of other scheduling changes that includes The Big Weekend Show expanding to the 6 to 8 p.m. time slot, and The Fox Report growing to two hours from 3 to 5 p.m.

Other programming changes include Fox Business Network’s Dagen McDowell joining The Big Money Show, which expands from 12 to 2 p.m. on weekdays, starting January 27.
