Sabrina Ionescu OWNED Angel Reese

INSTANT REGRET! Sabrina Ionescu OWNED Angel Reese after “CAN’T GUARD” Comment BACKFIRES!

Angel Reese learned a tough lesson the hard way after her latest attempt at trash talk backfired spectacularly. During a heated matchup between the New York Liberty and the Rose BC in the WNBA’s Unrivaled League, Reese was caught on a hot mic confidently stating, “Sabrina can’t guard.”

Bad idea. Very bad idea.

Sabrina Ionescu responded in the most brutal way possible—by absolutely torching Reese and her team on the court. Ionescu delivered a masterclass performance, racking up a jaw-dropping 32 points in just 19 minutes, shooting 11-of-18 from the field, including 7-of-10 from three-point range. To top it off, she also added nine rebounds, eight assists, and two blocks, making it crystal clear who had the last laugh.

The Rose BC, which was already struggling this season, suffered yet another defeat, losing 75-63. Despite Reese’s improved shooting night (5-of-8 from the field for 13 points and seven rebounds), it was all for nothing as her team failed to keep up with Ionescu’s offensive explosion. The loss dropped Rose BC to a disastrous 1-4 record, continuing their downward spiral.

Ionescu wasted no time rubbing salt in the wound. The Liberty star took to social media the next morning, simply posting “LOL” at 9:12 AM, a direct response to Reese’s pregame trash talk. Fans quickly flooded the replies, mocking Reese and praising Ionescu for her cold-blooded response.

“You woke up the wrong one!” one fan tweeted, while another added, “The bricklayer ran her mouth and got torched.”

Even WNBA analysts weighed in, pointing out the growing trend—whenever Angel Reese plays a solid individual game, her team still finds a way to lose. Dating back to her time with the Chicago Sky, her squads have struggled to stay competitive, and this new venture with Rose BC isn’t changing that pattern.

With Reese now on the receiving end of one of the season’s most embarrassing call-outs, it remains to be seen if she’ll learn to let her game do the talking rather than the mic. One thing is for sure—Sabrina Ionescu proved that not only can she guard, but she can absolutely destroy anyone who doubts her.

Stay tuned for more updates as the WNBA Unrivaled League continues to heat up!
