Carley Shimkus Shares Shocking Daily Routine as New Mom and Fox & Friends First Host

Carley Shimkus, co-host of Fox & Friends First, has shared her early morning routine that leaves fans both impressed and shocked. As a new mom to Brock, born in February 2025, and a busy TV host, Shimkus revealed that her alarm goes off at an incredibly early 1:15 am each day to prepare for the show, which airs at 5 am EST.

A Morning Built Around Caffeine

Shimkus, a self-proclaimed coffee lover, said that she’s excited to start her day with a cup of coffee before heading to the studio. Despite the early hours, she finds joy in the routine, especially her caffeine fix. She also mentioned how much her son Brock has changed since being born, noting, “Even when I look back at pictures of him from four months ago – he’s changed so much.”

In addition to her hosting role, Shimkus is the author of the cookbook Cooking with Friends: Eat, Drink and Be Merry, which features recipes from popular Fox News stars. She explained that the cooking segments on Fox & Friends caught her eye in high school, and she now enjoys indulging in the leftover food after the segments with co-host Janice Dean.
