Bruno Mars had already captured the hearts with over 40 billion stream on Spotify, cementing his place as one of music’s biggest names.

But just when you thought he couldn’t get any more lovable, a surprising moment melted everyone’s heart. Imagine a four-year-old Bruno Mars—wide-eyed and full of charm—stealing the spotlight with an Elvis impersonation so adorable it could make anyone swoon. It was pure magic, and in that moment, you couldn’t help but fall even deeper in love with the man who’s been winning hearts for years.

Fans were all shook up by four-year-old Bruno Mars rocking an adorable Elvis impersonation – in full costume, no less! Young Mars performed a confident medley of Elvis Presley’s hits onstage in Hawaii, dressed in a dapper white suit. In the circa 1989 performance, Mars shows off a natural stage presence and a remarkably good voice for a four-year-old. I guess some people are just born to be stars.

Mars had the whole room eating out of his hand, and his fellow performers were all wearing big smiles while the youngster worked the room. He even managed to do some of Presley’s signature moves, which had his fellow performers squealing in delight. The youngster kicks off the clip with “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Hound Dog” before taking on “All Shook Up.” Mars is a big favorite here on The Music Man, and we’re even bigger fans after seeing him rock the cutest Elvis impersonation ever.

Impersonating Elvis was somewhat of a signature move from Mars as a youngster, and there are several performances featuring him singing The King of Rock and Roll’s hits. Fans couldn’t get enough of young Mars’ performances, and added comments such as “That cute, amazing, talented kid grew up to be one of the best singers of our time” and “The kid started out doing Elvis, and he learned from the best, and now he’s a big star himself!”

The most popular video featuring Mars impersonating Elvis was his scene in the 1992 comedy romance film Honeymoon in Vegas. In this scene, Mars performs “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” in a blue jumpsuit. Mars was born on October 8, 1985, so he would have been six years old when he shot the scene. The Hawaiian star, who has the birth name Peter Gene Hernandez, was credited as Bruno Hernandez in the film. He was given the nickname Bruno at just age two, due to his resemblance to the wrestler Bruno Sammartino.

The Music Man readers might be interested to hear that Mars began his career as an Elvis impersonator at just three years old. He was inspired by his uncle, who was also an Elvis impersonator. Mars grew up in quite the musical family, as his father Peter Hernandez was a Latin percussionist, while his mother Bernadette San Pedro Bayot was a hula dancer and singer. The first video featured in this article showcases his family band The Love Notes, and his mother and father are onstage for the performance.
