All will come to an end during The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 finale airing on August 4, followed by the alternative reunion airing the following week.
Filming began in August 2023, but for the new season, season 15, ‘filming will likely not resume until 2025,’ a source has exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com.
‘There are not going to be any decisions about what will or won’t happen with the show until early next year.’
The source continued: ‘There is not going to be any more filming of RHONJ for the remainder of the year. There’s nothing planned. It’s on ice.’
The current cast includes Teresa Giudice, Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda, as well as friends Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
‘The cast for the new season is not going to be decided anytime soon. Casting is not something Bravo is rushing into. It’s not even going to start to take form until next year.’
The insider added: ‘However, there are some cast members that are less likely to come back than others based on certain events that have unfolded this past season. But, for two or three cast members, it could be over for good.’
DailyMail.com has learned that there are some names of new cast members based in the Garden State already floating around.
‘Bravo is actively seeking new housewives, not just in NJ, but for the other franchises as well. They’re always looking for new talent to bring in higher ratings.’
The latest episode of RHONJ reportedly earned 589,000 viewers, which is a ‘new series low.’
When pressed for a reason as to why everything is on hold, the source spilled, ‘I think that they don’t know what to do. They don’t know what to do because it’s almost like a puzzle where you’re trying to put pieces together that make sense.
‘And there’s very few pieces of this puzzle that make sense for viewers right now.’
Meanwhile, a second source revealed to DailyMail.com that Andy Cohen is ‘not ruling out anything’ when it comes to what’s next.
‘It can be a cast shakeup with only some cast members coming back, it can be rebooted, or RHONJ can be cancelled altogether – nothing is off the table,’ the insider said.
‘Bravo has not put a timeline on when filming will resume because, literally, no one knows what’s going to happen and it’s going to take time to figure out the next steps.’
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Bravo for comment.
During the July 29 segment of Andy’s Live radio show for SiriusXM, the Housewives producer dropped the bombshell that the cast might be getting ‘fresh faces.’
After a caller complained about the current season, Andy, 56, interjected, ‘We are rebooting the show.’
‘We’re gonna reboot it,’ Cohen added. ‘We’re gonna do something different.’
The caller continued as she talked up Teresa’s presence on the series, before Andy seemed to try to wrap up the rant.
‘OK, all right. OK, we’re gonna see what we do. We’ll see,’ the seemingly annoyed Watch What Happens Live host said as he ended the conversation.
‘I don’t know. Maybe just all fresh faces. We’ll see,’ he concluded.
Two days later, Andy clarified his viral comments after shocking viewers about there being a ‘reboot.’
‘I was just riffing,’ the Radio Andy host confessed. ‘We are going to reimagine the show in some way, and I was just like, Yeah, we’re rebooting. … Who knows? Maybe it’ll be all fresh faces. And that was just me kind of in the mood.’
He went on to say that it was ‘not new news,’ and said, ‘I was…not definitively saying it’s going to be all fresh faces.’
Meanwhile, the RHONJ OG, Teresa Giudice, who recently said she will ‘never again’ film with her brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa Gorga, told DailyMail.com that she’s going to follow Bravo’s orders and do ‘whatever Bravo wants me to do.’
‘They’re the boss. Bravo’s the boss,’ the 52-year-old confessed. ‘So, whatever they want, and I’m not going to walk away until they want me to walk away.’
