Of all the musical genres, opera is perhaps the one that people either love or hate the most. But in recent years, a number of performers have released songs that make opera more accessible to the masses. Along with the band Il Divo, these musicians include soloists Russell Watson, Katharine Jenkins, and of course Andrea Bocelli.

Veronica led her husband up to stand in front of the audience by taking his hand in a really tender and lovely moment. He has also won 20 music awards, had his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was named one of People magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in 1999.

Shortly after divorcing his first wife, Enrica, with whom he has two boys, Andrea met his second wife, Veronica Berti, in 2002. A few years later, Veronica was appointed CEO of Andrea’s currency management office, and in 2011, she assisted him in establishing the Andrea Bocelli Foundation. By encouraging and supporting national and international projects that support the overcoming of these barriers and the expression of their full potential, the foundation seeks to “empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, distress due to illness, and social exclusion.”

Additionally, in 2012, Veronica gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Virginia. Amazingly, the pair managed to find time to sing this lovely duet despite what must have been an extremely busy period in their lives. The male portion of Qualche Stupido, an Italian song based on the timeless and well-loved classic “Something Stupid,” was being recorded by Andrea. Although there have been numerous covers of the American version, Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s 1967 performance is the most well-known.

They started searching for a female companion after Andrea’s segment was recorded. One of the most exquisite duets in history began when Andrea stated that Veronica could sing. The two then performed at a small concert. As though they were having a romantic supper, they sat together at a dinner table on cobblestones. Their love was evident in their performance, which featured a lovely blending of their voices.
