Angel Reese has been signed by a new women’s professional basketball league amid her debut WNBA campaign.
Unrivaled consists of six teams.
This is a significant development, as many WNBA players head overseas in the offseason to make extra money. In addition to the bigger salaries, the first 30 players to join receive equity ownership.
Angel Reese is the latest member and was announced this Wednesday.
“305 BARBIEEEEE,” she wrote as the caption to a retweet. “SEE YALL IN THE YAMSSSSSSS.

The new league will tip off next January, with all of the games to be played in Miami. It will run for eight weeks, and the top four teams in the standings will make the playoffs.
Reese is the 10th player to have been unveiled so far. Stewart, Collier, Reese, Jewell Lloyd, Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Copper, Arike Ogunbowale, Jackie Young, Kelsey Plum, and Rhyne Howard make up the 10.
Per the league’s website, “Unrivaled will feature a brand new style of 3v3 basketball. The games will be played on a compressed full-court (70X50 feet).”
The games will be four quarters long, with both a game and shot clock, and will be broadcast for one hour.
Unrivaled is also looking to host a 1-on-1 elimination tourney in February.
