While the Paris Olympics are in full-form, the WNBA is in the middle of their all-star and Olympic hiatus that will carry over throughout the month of August.
Giving the players an immense amount of time off before playoff pushes begin, and Chicago Sky’s rookie of the year candidate Angel Reese is surely enjoying her time off after being seen on vacation with rising NBA star Jalen Duren of the Detroit Pistons.
Over the past few weeks, Reese has appeared at the NBA Summer League, the Paris Olympics, and participating in All-Star Weekend for the WNBA. Now she is finally taking a break.
Reese has been one of the best rookies in the league this season, averaging 13.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 blocks. Actually a very similar style of play that Jalen Duren brings to the table in Detroit.
Last season with the Pistons, Duren averaged 11.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. Now, the two are taking their rightful break while in the middle of summer.
