WNBA Rookie of the Year 2024 Prize Money: How much money is the best WNBA Rookie getting? The shocking revealing will make everyone jaw-dropping!!

Caitlin Clark is the favorite for the award

Caitlin Clark‘s first season with the Indiana Fever has been nothing short of extraordinary, setting new records and making a lasting impression on the WNBA. Building on her storied college career at Iowa, Clark continued to shine at the professional level, posting averages of 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists across 40 games. Her performance has made her the clear frontrunner for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year honor.

The league has yet to formally announce this year’s winner, but The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Friday that Clark is set to take home the Rookie of the Year award.

During the 2024 season, Clark not only topped the league in assists per game but also broke the single-season record for total assists, leading all first-year players in scoring. Her outstanding play helped the Indiana Fever achieve a balanced 20-20 record, bringing the team back to the playoffs for the first time in eight years.

Although Clark is the overwhelming favorite, other rookies in the conversation for the award included Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese and Rickea Jackson of the Los Angeles Sparks. However, Clark’s exceptional contributions and statistics appear to have set her apart in the race.

While the WNBA has not officially announced the Rookie of the Year winner, it seems to be just a matter of time before Clark officially adds the title to her growing list of accolades.

The WNBA Rookie of the Year is not awarded additional prize money directly for winning the honor. However, her earnings are determined by the WNBA rookie salary scale, which varies based on draft pick position.

For a first-round draft pick in 2024, the total contract value could be around $348,198 over four years, with an annual breakdown starting at approximately $78,831 in the first year and gradually increasing each year.
