Amid former Bachelorette Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber fanning romance flames, the Dancing With the Stars contestant’s ex Devin Strader threw shade at the duo in a recent Instagram comment.

Things do not appear to be rosy for Devin Strader.

As romance rumors between Jenn Tran and her Dancing With the Stars dance partner Sasha Farber continue, her former fiancé—who split from the Bachelorette star not long after getting engaged on season 21 of the reality dating series—had a pointed take on the alleged relationship.

In response to a comment on his Nov. 9 Instagram post that read, “Jenn found a great guy his name is Sasha,” Devin simply posited, “Sasha is a girls [sic] name.”

The comment provoked hundreds of replies from Jenn’s fans, including those schooling the 28-year-old on the meaning of the dancer’s name. As one person noted, Sasha is “a gender-neutral name with Slavic, Ukrainian and Russian origins,” while another pointed out the hypocrisy, clapping back, “Devin is also a girl’s name.”

Devin, however, was not willing to debate the matter further, adding in a later reply, “Hey! STFU! This is my Instagram!”

Elsewhere beneath his post, Devin didn’t hold back on responding to hateful comments with similarly negative reactions. And when replying to one comment that pointed out Jenn was “killing it” at the Nov. 9 Wicked premiere in Los Angeles alongside Sasha while Devin was “spiraling in his comment section,” he fired back, “jobless supporting the jobless.”

Devin’s Instagram reply spree comes as Jenn and Sasha—who were eliminated from season 33 of Dancing With the Stars last month—continue to raise eyebrows with a series of cozy outings. In addition to attending the Wicked premiere side-by-side, the former dancing duo also stepped out together Nov. 6 in Los Angeles as they walked a pooch—as well as partook in private dance rehearsals during their tenure on the ABC series, as Jenn shared on TikTok last month.

But when it comes to confirming any of the rumors, Jenn and Sasha have remained coy.

“We have so much fun together,” Jenn told E! News when asked about their relationship status in September, with Sasha echoing, “We have a lot of fun together.”

But no matter the status of Jenn’s current romantic affairs, she has made it very clear that the last petal has fallen on her relationship with Devin.

After the F1 Freight Consultants owner broke up with her over a phone call when the Bachelorette cameras stopped rolling and then subsequently went on to follow fellow Bachelor Nation alum Maria Georgas on Instagram, Jenn made her opinion of her former flame clear.

“That was a hurtful thing for him to do,” she reflected in a Sept. 10 episode of Off The Vine. “That was his action and his thing. I think he was being a bit of a jackass and went and followed her for whatever reason and that’s fine. I don’t think anything happened and I never insinuated that. I didn’t want to have her be a part of this narrative because I know that there’s not more to it.”

During the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette, it looked like The Bachelor alum Jenn Tran was finally getting her happy ending with her final pick Devin Strader. But Jenn, 26, revealed on After the Final Rose back in September that Devin, 28, gave her the cold shoulder as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

“He was making bold proclamations of love and then suddenly the next day he was like, nothing and he denied ever being in love,” Jenn told host Jesse Palmer during the Sept. 3 episode. “All the promises he had made to me, all of the love that he had wanted to give to me wasn’t there anymore.”

Drama continued to play out when Devin shared a 13-minute video recounting his side of the story to Instagram, where in addition to taking “accountability” he shared insight into why he ended the relationship in a 15-minute phone call.

While Jenn alleged he dumped her during the call in August, he claimed that Jenn demanded to know what was wrong as he tried to find a way to break the news in person.

“I didn’t really know what else to do,” he explained, noting he had been waiting to tell her in person. “She kind of forced my hand.”

Since then, Jenn waltzed over to Dancing With the Stars and possibly into the heart of her partner Sasha Farber as they have continued to spark romance rumors since their Oct. 29 elimination.
