Chicago Sky Star Kamilla Cardoso Sparks Internet Frenzy with Live Stream War Against Amazon Alexa

Kamilla Cardoso's live stream took an unexpected turn Kamilla Cardoso’s live stream took an unexpected turn

Kamilla Cardoso may be from Brazil, but her respect for the Amazon does not seem to carry over to the American technology. The Chicago Sky rookie went viral after she cursed out her Alexa on a live stream when the device played the wrong song, using an insult that nobody was expecting.

Cardoso’s trademark attitude

The 2024 NCAA Champion is well-known for her spicy attitude on and off the court. She came to blows with Angel Reese when they played for rivals South Carolina and LSU in college, but now they are teammates in Chicago.

Even in the pros, she struggles at times to contain her emotions. The last time they played the Las Vegas Aces, she was seen disrespecting coach Teresa Weatherspoon’s play call in the final seconds. The Sky proceded to blow the game and fall to an A’ja Wilson buzzer-beater.

However, much like Reese, the fact that Cardoso wears her emotions on her sleeve is exactly what makes her a great competitor and why the fans love her. Her 630K followers on Instagram and 165K on TikTok , many from Brazil, love to tune in to her live streams to see what she will do or say next.

Cardoso curses out her Alexa

In some cases, it is a party, like when she donned a blonde wig and did a karaoke of Justin Beiber’s “Baby” with Alexa as the DJ in the background. This time, the Amazon assistant‘s music selection was not up to Kamilla’s standard and she let Alexa know.

Alexa, stop the music, hoe,” she said, with a little extra emphasis on the insult. She chat erupted in a fury of laughter, but when the clip circulated social media afterward, older WNBA fans took offense at the classic Marvin Gaye song she cut off.

“Milla not knowing Sexual Healing,” said the most popular response to the video on X, which included a gif of Stephen Curry shaking his head.

“they’ll neva make me hate Marvin Gaye,” another fan remarked, while a few folks said she is “not like us.”

“She is hilarious without even trying to be,” joked another much-liked reply.

Cardoso may have rubbed some old heads the wrong way, but the viral clip was another example of how much personality the 2024 rookie class has brought to the WNBA.

Chicago may be on the outside of the playoff picture, but Angel and Kamilla have brought countless new fans to the league simply be being themselves.
