Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied’s marriage comes to an end after roughly 11 years.

Actress Natalie Portman and dancer/choreographer Benjamin Millepied separated last year and now, the two have finalized their divorce, ending their 11-year-long marriage. Although they tried to do their divorce proceedings secretly, the media has put the spotlight on them.

The separation has led to the creation of many memes and jokes, particularly about Millepied. As per several media outlets, the dancer was caught cheating on Portman last year, leading to their separation.

The two first met on the set of Black Swan in 2009, as Millepied choreographed and appeared in the film. They share two kids: son Aleph and daughter Amalia. Portman reportedly filed for a divorce in July 2023 and the divorce was finalized last month in France, where they live with their children.

A rep has confirmed to People that actress Natalie Portman and dancer/choreographer Benjamin Millepied have finalized their divorce roughly eight months after their separation. The two were married for roughly 11 years. Shortly after the news went viral, fans started making jokes about Millepied as he managed to mess up a perfect relationship,

As per People, in May 2023, Millepied was accused of cheating on Portman and that was the final nail in the coffin as Portman filed for a divorce in July 2023. The two were spotted together in public after the infidelity allegations and sources revealed Portman was willing to forgive Millepied for the infidelity but it seems like their marriage didn’t work out.

A friend of the ex-couple told People that Millepied’s alleged affair was the reason behind the split. The infidelity was tough for Portman but thanks to the support from her family and friends, the actress was able to overcome this setback,
“It was initially really tough for her, but her friends rallied around her and helped get her through the worst of it – Natalie is coming out of a really tough and painful year but she’s come out the other side of it stronger and is finding joy in her family, friends and work.”
They welcomed their first child, Aleph, in June 2011 and got married in August 2012 in the presence of their family and friends in Big Sur, California. In February 2017, they welcomed their second child, Amalia. Over the past few months, the two have discussed various ways of co-parenting their kids as they are their priority.
