A Magical Royal Moment: Princess Eugenie and the Royal Family Are Serenaded by Andrea Bocelli’s Heavenly Panis Angelicus at Her Wedding

Andrea Bocelli sang Panis Angelicus during Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding today, and it was a beautiful performance. A poignant video of the incident went viral on the internet.

Today, the Royal Wedding party, together with bride and groom Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, were mesmerized by Italian opera artist Andrea Bocelli.

Andrea Bocelli  performed the strophe of Saint Thomas Aquinas’ song Sacris solemniis, Panis Angelicus, in a mesmerizing manner.

Following the poignant performance, which was conducted by Carlo Bernini, ITV viewers posted comments on the video on Twitter.

The official account for The Royal Family uploaded the four-minute offering, which was liked nearly 300 times in a matter of minutes

It was captioned: “Conducted by Carlo Bernini, @AndreaBocelli and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra perform. #RoyalWedding.”

“A truly stunning service,” one user commented, as another fan agreed: “Congratulations to the happy couple and fantastic @AndreaBocelli.”

Some said it had given them “goosebumps”, while one tweet read: “Panis Angelicus brought tears to my eyes, best choice. Performed at all my family’s weddings. God bless.”

Earlier in the day, the following announcement had been made: “You can watch the moment the couple are married and the full ceremony including performances from @rpoonline and @AndreaBocelli on @YouTube @facebook and @twitter from 10am (BST).”

Andrea has sold more than 90 million records and has had 15 solo studio albums during his impressive career.

He was born with poor eyesight before being diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, losing his sight age 12.

He is the first solo opera singer to receive a YouTube Gold Play Button and, on top of this achievement, he has also accumulated 370 million views globally on YouTube over the past 12 months.

During Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s ceremony was attended by a while host of celebrities guests.

Single star Jamie Redknapp attended solo after his divorce from wife Louise.

The former footballer, 45, opted for a black suit, matching his attire with a waistcoat and shoes.

Sisters Cara and Poppy Delevingne stole the spotlight on arrival in their oversized hats.

The latter, 32, sported a blue dress and a statement hat, which she clung on to as she made her way into the venue.

Also embracing their look was her sister, 26, who went against tradition in a black suit and bowler hat.

Meanwhile, Ayda Field took to Instagram to reveal what she and husband Robbie Williams, 44, had chosen to wear for the nuptials.

The X Factor judge opted for a silvery, white look for the proceedings, which showcased her slender frame.

However, some of her 419,000 followers were far from impressed with the colour of her look.

“Look lovely but wearing white to a wedding is very disrespectful,” one claimed, as someone else agreed: “White to a wedding? Wowser. Both look stunning anyway.”
