Lawrence Jones Lands Coveted FOX News Role

Lawrence Jones Lands Coveted FOX News Role—What’s Next for the Rising Star?

FOX News has made it official—Lawrence Jones is now a permanent co-host of FOX & Friends. This move cements his place as one of the network’s most prominent young voices.

Jones, who has been a familiar face on the show as an enterprise reporter, will now join Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade every weekday morning from 6-9 a.m. His promotion marks a historic milestone—at just 30 years old, he is the youngest Black co-host in cable news history.

From Reporter to Co-Host

The announcement was made on FOX & Friends, where the show aired a montage of Jones’ most memorable moments. His on-the-ground reporting, often from small-town diners and local communities, has made him a favorite among viewers.

Jones expressed his excitement, saying, “When you sit on that couch, you really feel America. I’m so grateful and humbled. This is going to be a fun ride.”

His promotion is a reflection of his growing influence. Gavin Hadden, FOX News’ senior vice president of morning programming, praised his ability to connect with audiences, stating, “Lawrence has his finger on the pulse of what matters to communities across America.”

The Road to Success

Jones’ journey at FOX News began in 2018. By 2021, he had become an enterprise reporter for FOX & Friends. Last year, he made history as the youngest Black solo host on cable news with Lawrence Jones Cross Country.

His show, which aired on Saturday nights, took him across the country to cover key issues. While Cross Country has ended, Jones will continue bringing his signature on-the-ground reporting to FOX & Friends.

Jones credits his success to advice he received early in his career. “Hannity told me when I first got into this business, ‘Just be L.J,’” he recalled.

A Ratings Powerhouse

Jones is stepping into a show with a dominant track record. FOX & Friends has been the highest-rated morning show on cable news for over two decades, averaging 1.4 million viewers last year. It consistently outperforms competitors on CNN and MSNBC.

With Jones joining the team, the show is poised to continue its success. His ability to engage directly with viewers and provide firsthand reporting sets him apart.

What’s Next for Lawrence Jones?

As he takes his seat on the FOX & Friends couch, Jones is entering a new phase of his career. His energy, relatability, and journalistic instincts have already made him a standout.

For now, his focus is on delivering the news each morning and bringing stories from real Americans to the national stage.

One thing is certain—this is just the beginning for Lawrence Jones.
