Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have kicked off their 2024 NFL preseason. Looking to make history with three consecutive Super Bowls, the Chiefs are focused right from day one.

Mahomes, however, is making the most of his days off.

According to an Instagram story shared by Brittany Mahomes, the quarterback spent his time snuggling and eating some Oreos.

Patric Mahomes is determined to prioritize his family

With multiple Super Bowl wins to his name, Mahomes is easily one of the most successful NFL players, and there have been comparisons to legends like Tom Brady.

Brady, with seven Super Bowl wins, retired after 20 years in the league.

Mahomes, though unsure of his career graph, isn’t sure if he’ll play as long as Brady did. Speaking with TIME Magazine about the same in April, Mahomes revealed how he does wish to prioritize his family.

“I’ve looked, if I played until Tom [Brady]’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old,” Mahomes said. “That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments.

“I would love to play that long. At the same time, I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I’ll continue to play. But if I feel like it’s taking away from my family time, that’s when I’ll know it’s time to go.”

In the same interview, Mahomes admitted that he’s nowhere near Brady’s level of greatness yet.
