Kansas City Chiefs rookie LT Kingsley Suamataia is gearing up for his first-ever regular season game in the NFL. There he’ll get his first career start, protecting the blindside of the best player in football.

As he gets prepped for Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season, Suamataia was asked by media members what he saw from the Baltimore Ravens in film preparation. He stumbled upon a common theme that has been brought up by many players and coaches already: Physicality.

In doing so, he managed to drop one of the hardest quotes you’ll hear in Week 1.

“They’re a physical team, you know,” Suamataia said of the Ravens. “They like playing the bully ‘ball, but we’ve just got to play bully back and be the bigger bully to them.

“Be the bigger bully” is a piece of good advice for Week 1, which is traditionally one of the tougher weeks of the season. Players have to truly increase their physicality after an offseason of practicing in a non-contact capacity against teammates during training camp, and with very little real action in the preseason.

“It’s obviously different than the preseason versus the regular season, but I’m excited,” Suamataia said. “Just to go out there with all the boys and be the bigger bully out there, like I said.”
