Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Are Considering This Schooling Option for Archie & Lilibet — & Of Course, Parent-Shamers Have a Lot to Say
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍, have kept their kids out of the public eye and, in true Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 fashion, have strayed from the royal protocols that they or their children would have to follow if they stayed in the monarchy. However, it seems that they will abide by one royal rule for their children, specifically when it comes to their children, Prince Archie

and Princess Lilibet’s schooling.
Per the Mirror, the pair are reportedly considering highly prestigious schools in Montecito for their kids, ranging in private schools that are around $40,000 to $60,000 per year. It’s typical for royals to be sent to boarding school, or private institutions. So, unlike many things, they’re following tradition, and are being slammed for it by royal commentators. (Truly, the Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍es can’t win).

Royal commentator Lee Cohen said, via Mirror, that it was ridiculous for the pair to send their kids to an insanely expensive school, despite their fight for equality, which makes no sense.
“Their supposed commitment to progressive causes is nothing but a façade. If they’re willing to indulge in this epitome of elitism, there is no advocating for equality. Yet they’re willing to pay staggering tens of thousands per year for their children’s education,” he said.
He added, “One of Meghan‘s difficulties when she was a working royal living in the UK was her lack of experience of dealing with staff so in Montecito she has kept paid staff to an absolute minimum, but if she’s avoiding the Royal tradition of paying people to do the childcare, she’s certainly sticking to the Royal tradition of sending children to elite schools…. Apart from anything else, Harry wouldn’t countenance risking his children being educated in anything other than in an elite environment. Choosing an elite school is very much in the royal family tradition.”
So, they want the best for their children, and have the means to do so. They’re following a coveted royal tradition, and yet people have a problem with it. There are many reasons why Meghan and Harry may want to send their kids to this school, despite tradition.
For one thing, their children’s safety has always been a priority, so keeping them in a private school could ease some stress on that. (Especially since all eyes have been on the kids for years).
Now, is this legit? Yes, apparently, the two are already making steps for their children.
Richard Mineards from the Montecito Journal claimed via the same outlet that Harry and Meghan were already looking at schools. He said: “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are eyeing entering their two children, Archie and Lilibet, at a local private school, I can exclusively reveal. The Riven Rock twosome were spotted inspecting an institution’s campus last week, bringing them one-step closer to a decision.”
