Rookie Carson Steele helped his case to make the Kansas City Chiefs’ 53-man roster with a remarkable run on Thursday night.

The Chiefs played the Chicago Bears in a preseason fixture on the night and, though the game ended in a loss, Steele will look back on it with some fondness as he is responsible for one of its best highlights.

The former UCLA fullback is looking to make his mark and get on the team’s active roster for the upcoming season. He does appear ready for the pros following the aggressive run he made into the end zone.

Steele had four carries for 50 rushing yards and, during the third quarter, refused to let anyone get in his way as he ran for a score, stiff-arming a Bears defender into the ground en route.

Fans felt like they’d seen enough after watching the play and called for him to make the roster.

Carson Steele Has A Point To Prove After going Undrafted

The Chiefs took a gamble on Carson Steele, signing him as an undrafted free agent after he was snubbed at the draft. It’s safe to say he has the look of a player who could make teams regret passing up on him.

The running back registered 3,232 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns in two years at Ball State and one year with the Bruins. He tallied an impressive 1,556 yards and 14 TDs in one campaign.

His first preseason game with the Chiefs saw him go for 29 yards and one score on four carries.

The Chiefs already have a strong RB contingent boasting Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. However, Steele looks deserving of a spot after what he’s put on display so far.
