The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are facing off in a Week 7 matchup, and things are starting to get chippy. That becomes apparent when you see what happened to Patrick Mahomes.

At the end of a play, cameras caught San Francisco defensive lineman Maliek Collins punching Mahomes in the throat right before a referee.

Of course, given how much the NFL wants to protect quarterbacks, it’s surprising that Collins got away with it without even a flag.

That becomes even more true when it’s Mahomes who took the punch.

Social Media Does Not Fell Bad For Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes is one of the players that many think gets way too many calls in his favor.

Of course, this likely should have been a flag, but many on social media don’t feel bad for the quarterback.

“Don’t really care, gotta give the world a couple back after all nonsense they’ve been getting away with these last 5 games. But yes that’s a penalty. Don’t care,” said one comment.

“Sucks when the refs don’t call things, doesn’t it?” said another.

“Welcome to how the rest of the league lives, Patrick,” added a third.
