Love stories often have unique beginnings, but Jesse Watters’ approach to courting his now-wife, Emma, certainly takes the cake. On a recent episode of The Five, the 43-year-old Fox News host shared an eyebrow-raising anecdote about how he got Emma’s attention—by secretly letting the air out of her tires.
A Bold (and Questionable) Move for Love
During a lighthearted conversation with his co-hosts, Watters admitted to the unconventional tactic he used to get closer to Emma, who was working with him at the time.
“She couldn’t go anywhere. She needed a lift,” he recalled with a grin. “I said, ‘Hey, you need a lift?’ She hopped right in the car.”
The revelation was met with laughter, surprise, and a flurry of questions from his fellow panelists. Greg Gutfeld couldn’t resist joking, “You’re basically the Zodiac Killer.”
Watters, however, defended his actions with a laugh, insisting, “It has a happy ending! We’re married!”
A Viral Moment That Sparked Debate
The clip quickly made waves on social media, drawing a mix of amusement and criticism. Some found Watters’ story humorous, while others questioned the ethics of his tactics. Adding to the intrigue, Emma—now 29—had never heard the story before her husband shared it on air.
“Now she does!” Watters quipped, as his co-hosts continued to tease him. When Jeanine Pirro asked if this was his first time pulling such a stunt, Watters cheekily responded, “Works like a charm.”
From Office Romance to Lifelong Commitment
Despite their unconventional beginning, Jesse and Emma’s relationship blossomed. The couple tied the knot in December 2019, following Watters’ divorce from his first wife, Noelle Inguagiato, with whom he shares twin daughters.
Their love story took another joyful turn in April 2021 when they welcomed their son, Jesse Jr. On their first wedding anniversary, Emma shared a heartfelt tribute, posting wedding snapshots with the caption:
“Married the love of my life one year ago today.”
A Story That Keeps People Talking
While Watters’ tire-deflating confession may have raised some eyebrows, there’s no denying that it led to a lasting love story. Whether seen as mischievous or a little over the top, his strategy clearly worked—after all, he and Emma are still going strong.
As Watters himself put it: “It has a happy ending!”
