Simone Biles revealed the new nickname for the 2024 women’s gymnastics team following their gold medal win on Tuesday.
The U.S. gymnastics teams have a history with monikers, with most of the victorious ones getting their own brand. And the 2024 Olympic contingent is no different, except for the fact that it’s the only one bearing a nickname containing some explicit language.
Everyone was waiting to hear what the current team would call themselves following dubbings such as the Magnificent Seven in 1996 and the Final Five in 2016.
Simone Biles Couldn’t Simply Blurt Out Her Team’s New Moniker
Biles, who became the most decorated American Olympic gymnast with Team USA’s win this week, was asked for their nickname during their post-win press conference. Aly Raisman, a former Olympic gymnast, carried out the inquest.
The team was a bit hesitant to say what it was, so they were asked to abbreviate it. But, after some deliberation, the press room messed around and found out what it is: “F*** Around And Find Out.”
Check it out in the clip below:
It’s not a nickname news anchors will be able to repeat, but it’s one you can bring up in a bar. Sure, it’s undoubtedly NSFW, but Simone Biles and her teammates have earned the right to be called whatever they want.
No one’s going to forget this one anytime soon.
