ngel Reese may somewhat be in the shadow of Caitlin Clark on the court, given their respective collegiate careers, but Reese is making her own mark off the court, securing a sponsorship deal with Reese’s.

The confectionary company, known best for their peanut butter-based cups and pieces, share the same name with Angel Reese and a partnership only seems logical now it has been officially announced.

Angel Reese turns heads with her bold look

What are the details of the Reese/Reese’s partnership?

Reese, who plays her professional basketball for the Chicago Sky, has unveiled a limited-edition collection of jerseys featuring her name, number and signature logo.

They are all produced in the distinctive orange and yellow color scheme of Reese’s confectionary products.

There are also custom tees, hoodies, cropped shirts and hats which feature peanut butter cups and Angel’s unique insignia.

Fans needn’t rush to the stores, though, with the merchandise release being spread out over the span of three exclusive content drops.

Fans will have the chance to purchase items from all three drops, and it is not thought that people will miss out.

Who made the collaboration happen?

Whilst it’s normal for professional athletes to entrust the task of securing branding deals to their agents, in this case Angel Reese has made clear that this decision was fan-driven.

“This collection is for my Reese’s Pieces,” Reese declared in a statement.

“They’ve been with me every step of the way and the design elements bring together things that I love, basketball, style, and of course, Reese’s.”

Prices for the merchandise will start at $39, after Hershey’s called the deal a ‘first-of-its-kind’ fan inspired collaboration.

After the WNBA break for the Olympics, Reese has been back in Chicago to resume her rookie season in the league.

The Sky have played three matches since the resumption of competition, winning just one against the Los Angeles Sparks.

In those three games, Reese has averaged a return of 14.7 points.

Since joining the Sky, Reese has been active in various fashion and social media endeavors, which have brought her significant attention. However, as her on-court stats have recently dipped, fans and analysts are raising concerns that these distractions might be affecting her game.

Reese’s recent performances have sparked debate about her focus and commitment to the team. Critics argue that her off-court pursuits may be taking precedence over honing her skills and improving her game, which could be contributing to the Sky’s recent struggles.

As the team looks to rebound in the latter half of the season, all eyes will be on Reese to see if she can refocus and lead Chicago to a strong finish. Her ability to balance her growing public profile with her responsibilities on the court will be crucial in determining both her future and the team’s success.
