WNBA star Angel Reese has denied claims that she has a net worth of $2million, admitting that estimated figure is ‘way off’ her true value.
Reese enjoyed a superb rookie season in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky after being selected with the seventh overall draft pick, despite the team not managing to secure a playoff berth.
Yet on an individual note, the 22-year-old broke numerous rebound records while also enjoying a 15-game double-double streak – which was more than double the previous high for a rookie (6).
She has also been making waves off the court after throwing herself into a number of business ventures, including her ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast and endorsement deals with the likes of Reebok, Beats by Dre and Hershey’s.
As she continues to build up her personal brand, Reese was asked about reports that her net worth is already a staggering $2m during an appearance at ComplexCon in Las Vegas.
However, the former LSU college star said that estimation is far from accurate, despite stressing that she is still in a very healthy financial position.

The 22-year-old opened up on her financial situation at ComplexCon in Las Vegas this week
‘It’s not just a luxury for me,’ Reese said. ‘It’s a luxury for everybody around me. I’m able to soon retire my mom, I can pay off my mortgage, my family, everybody’s taken care of.
‘One thing about me, I have a really good circle around me, and I think that’s really important.’
Reese is said to have made a total of $73,439 on the court during her rookie season with the Sky, according to Sportrac.
She recently admitted playing in the WNBA is nowhere near her sole source of income after claiming her salary in Chicago doesn’t actually cover her $8,000-a-month rent.
‘I just hope y’all know, the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all,’ Reese told her followers at the time. ‘I don’t even think it pays one of my bills, literally.’
Before she was drafted by Chicago, Reese was ranked as one of the highest-earning NIL athletes in college with an estimated valuation of $1.7m back in 2023.
