Officer Jack was sitting at his desk at the police station when he suddenly received an emergency call. On the other end of the line, a childish voice filled with fear was calling for help. Jack’s heart began to beat faster. He immediately called his partner, Mark, and together they headed to the address indicated. It turned out to be an abandoned house on the outskirts of the city.

As they approached the house, something caught their eye: old toys scattered around the garden, creating a feeling of abandonment and sadness. Jack sensed that something was not right. Walking carefully over the creaking wooden boards, they entered inside. The atmosphere inside was terrifying; broken furniture scattered all over the place, and a musty, damp air that indicated that the house had not been taken care of in a long time.

Suddenly, they heard a faint voice pleading for help. Jack and Mark looked at each other and, focused, climbed the stairs that creaked under their feet. On the top floor, they found a room in which a child was chained to the fireplace. The child looked exhausted and in a pitiful state. As Jack came closer, he saw with horror that the child was Matt, his own son.

Jack’s heart filled with sadness and anger. He quickly freed Matt from the chains and wasted no time in calling an ambulance. Matt was in critical condition, and Jack felt that time was running out. At the hospital, doctors reported that Matt was suffering from severe malnutrition and dehydration, and that they needed to act quickly to save him.

As doctors tended to his son, Jack remembered an old mobile phone he had found in the house. That could be a clue to what happened. Investigation soon revealed that the phone belonged to his ex-wife Sarah. Caught up in drug use, she had lost control of her life and had unfortunately chained her son to the fireplace, leaving him alone in this terrifying situation.

Sarah was arrested, and Jack was finally able to focus on Matt’s recovery. Slowly, Matt was recovering and getting better every day. He felt the support and unconditional love of his father, who never left his side. After leaving the hospital, Matt and Jack began to rebuild their relationship. They spent time together, playing soccer, watching movies, and sharing their dreams for the future.

Each day brought joy and hope for both of them. Now, Jack knew that he would do everything he could to protect his son and give him a life full of happiness. Their bond grew stronger as time passed, and together they began to build a bright future, full of love and mutual support.
