Single Dad’s Emotional AGT Performance Leaves Judges in Tears

A widowed father of three stepped onto the AGT stage, pouring his heart into a deeply personal rendition of Phil Collins’ classic. His voice, raw with grief and resilience, captivated the silent audience. As the final note faded, the judges wiped away tears, and the crowd erupted in a standing ovation—moved by a performance that was more than just music, but a tribute to love and loss.

Matt Mauser, who has a sad family story behind him, also performed at the last audition for America’s Got Talent.

He lost his wife and the mothers of his three children in an accident last year, and found solace in music and singing with the support of friends.

Matt Mauser introduced himself in a previous show of American talent by singing the song ‘Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)’, originally performed by English singer and musician Phil Collins.

Before that, he shared a sad family story – last year he lost his beloved wife, with whom he was a soulmate, in a helicopter crash. NBA star Kobe Bryant also lost his life in the same helicopter accident.
