WNBA legend Cynthia Cooper was recently in attendance at the Indiana Fever’s matchup against the Dallas Wings. Following the Fever’s 100-93 victory, Cooper spoke about the revelation of Caitlin Clark.
Cooper shared high praise for the rookie out of Iowa, highlighting her versatility as a playmaker and scorer.
The WNBA icon believes Clark is uplifting the Fever and she appreciates the fans who have supported the generational talent.
“I appreciate you for repping Caitlin Clark, who’s the absolute truth!” Cooper said. “You can see her creating for others, shooting her shot, getting to the free throw line. She’s making everyone better–she’s making me better and I’m sitting on the sideline!”
WNBA fans then reacted to the viral video about Clark, blowing up the post following its release. The post about Cooper’s message to Clark has received over 4.5k likes and over 300k views.

Cynthia Cooper is a well-respected name in the WNBA community.
She retired from the WNBA in 2003 and had an illustrious career with the Houston Comets. During her tenure in the WNBA, Cooper became a four-time WNBA champion, four-time WNBA Finals MVP, two-time MVP, and three-time All-Star.
Caitlin Clark may be early into her WNBA career, but as Cooper explained, she’s making everyone better.
Clark has been able to help put the Fever in prime position to make the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2016. Indiana currently holds a 17-16 record, riding a four-game win streak and winning eight of the last 10 games.
The rookie has averaged 18.7 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game. She leads all rookies in average points and leads the entire WNBA in average assists.
