Don’t think you’re gonna get much support for that one, Ye.
Kanye West is somewhere between a genius and a madman, or maybe a little bit of both. There’s no denying that he’s one of the most talented rappers in the game, but that’s often overshadowed by his wild behavior and bizarre antics.
Just a couple of days ago, Ye shocked everybody when he showed up at the Grammy Awards with his wife Bianca Censori, who was wearing a see-through dress and…well, nothing else.
Kanye has also apparently found his Twitter password again, because he’s been firing them off one after the other lately after seeming to take a little break from the unhinged rants and bizarre tweets. And tonight, he’s found a new cause to take up: Freeing Diddy.
Yeah, not exactly a popular opinion right now.
Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy and his real name, Sean Combs, is currently behind bars awaiting trial after being indicted by the federal government on serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. And the details that have come out have been pretty disturbing, with allegations of the rapper and record producer throwing sex-fueled parties he referred to as “freak offs” that would often (allegedly) feature underage guests and reports of sexual assaults.
One of the more sensational details from the indictment alleges that authorities found nearly 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant while raiding Diddy’s house, something that his lawyers tried (poorly) to explain away by claiming that the rapper simply likes to buy in bulk…because you know, everybody’s looking for a bargain in this economy.
He’s also facing several civil lawsuits from women who claimed they’ve been sexually assaulted by the disgraced rapper, and just this week an unnamed male rapper filed a new lawsuit against Diddy alleging that he was drugged and raped by Diddy back in 2015.
Probably not the kind of guy you want to set free, even if he is innocent until proven guilty.
But Ye took to Twitter to call for President Donald Trump to step in and free Diddy from jail:
Kanye also said that man was his “idol” and his “hero,” apparently in reference to Diddy:
Not sure I would admit that, Kanye.
Of course Kanye and Trump had a friendly relationship with each other during Trump’s last term, with the rapper even visiting the Oval Office and frequently being spotted in a Make America Great Again hat.
And Trump has obviously pardoned quite a few people already during his first couple of weeks in office, granting pardons to everyone who was arrested and charged for their participation in the events of January 6th, 2021. But something tells me Trump probably isn’t exactly jumping at the opportunity to step in and set Diddy free.
Oh, and that wasn’t even the most insane part of Kanye’s Twitter rant (which is still ongoing if you want to tune in and watch the trainwreck live). He also tweeted that “slavery is a choice,” and defended Chris Brown, who plead guilty to assault after beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Maybe it’s time for someone to take Kanye’s Twitter password away from him again.
