The Lakers and the Mavericks have rocked the world with one the wildest trades in NBA history that absolutely no one saw coming.

Shams dropped the absolute bombshell that the Lakers traded away Anthony Davis to the Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic.

Full trade:

– Lakers: Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, Markieff Morris

– Mavericks: Anthony Davis, Max Christie, 2029 LAL 1st

– Jazz: Jalen Hood-Schifino, 2025 Clippers 2nd, 2025 Mavericks 2nd

Many on the internet thought that Shams may have been hacked so he had to confirm it by saying, “Yes, this is real.”

Shams also said:

“The Mavericks approached the Lakers recently and offered Luka Doncic, sources tell ESPN. Lakers brass met and believed the 25-year-old Doncic has the ability to be the face of their franchise for the next decade while giving Anthony Davis a win-now move in Dallas.”

Another ESPN journalist Tim McMahon explained Dallas’ reasoning behind trading Luka.

“The Mavs had major concerns about moving forward with Luka Doncic due to his constant conditioning issues and the looming commitment of another supermax contract extension this summer, sources told ESPN.”

Marc Stein confirmed that Luka did not request a trade.

The NBA world is seriously freaking out, especially since Mavs owner Mark Cuban has said in the past he would sooner divorce his wife than trade Luka Doncic.
