Rachel Campos-Duffy Shares Heartwarming Moment with Daughter Live on Air
In a touching moment, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy brought her daughter Valentina on the show to share her journey as a mother of a child with Down syndrome.
In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, Campos-Duffy expressed that her 5-year-old daughter has made their family more complete. She emphasized that despite certain challenges, her daughter is just as joyful and loving as any other child.
“Many women receive this diagnosis and become fearful, even the medical community can sometimes instill fear in parents,” Campos-Duffy said. She aims to raise awareness that medical issues associated with Down syndrome are manageable and that these children bring immense joy to their families.
As a mother of nine, Campos-Duffy shared that Valentina has helped her siblings develop greater empathy, patience, and a strong sense of support for one another.
In addition to being a television host, Campos-Duffy is also a pro-life advocate. She was inspired by Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a colleague of her husband, who also has a child with Down syndrome. Campos-Duffy stressed that society needs to shift its perspective to see the value these children bring rather than viewing them with fear or stigma.
She also reflected on her journey from appearing on the reality TV show The Real World: San Francisco in 1994 to becoming a prominent voice on Fox News. Campos-Duffy openly criticized “cancel culture,” stating that it suppresses free speech and prevents people from expressing their honest opinions.
