Rachel Campos-Duffy Shares Heartwarming Moment with Daughter Valentina on FOX & Friends Weekend
In a touching moment during a live broadcast, FOX & Friends Weekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy brought her daughter, Valentina, on air to discuss their experience raising a child with Down Syndrome. The segment aired in honor of World Down Syndrome Day, with Campos-Duffy sharing how the arrival of her 5-year-old daughter has enriched her family.

Valentina, born in 2019, has brought more empathy and understanding into the Campos-Duffy household. During the segment, Campos-Duffy explained to viewers that many parents, particularly mothers, might feel fear upon receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis but reassured them that the challenges associated with the condition are very treatable. She described her daughter as “lovely, precious, and joyful,” emphasizing that children with Down syndrome are just as happy as any other child.
Campos-Duffy also touched on the medical aspects of the condition, noting that while some children with Down syndrome may face challenges such as heart conditions or thyroid issues, these conditions are manageable with proper care. Despite these challenges, Valentina’s health hasn’t slowed down the family, and according to Campos-Duffy, her other children have learned tolerance, patience, and empathy thanks to their younger sister.
The heartfelt moment also featured Valentina demonstrating her pilates skills, which she learned through physical therapy, further showcasing her growth and ability. Her mother, a pro-life advocate, spoke about her inspiration from Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a fellow pro-life activist and mother of a child with Down syndrome. Campos-Duffy strongly believes that when people meet children like Valentina, they’ll see how wonderful they are and reduce the number of such children being terminated before birth.
Campos-Duffy, who has nine children with her husband, former congressman Sean Duffy, also spoke about how her experience as a mother has shaped her views on tolerance and empathy. Her children, she says, have become more caring and understanding because of Valentina’s presence in their lives.
In addition to her heartfelt remarks on raising a child with Down syndrome, Campos-Duffy reflected on her time as a cast member on MTV’s The Real World: San Francisco, marking 30 years since the iconic season aired. She noted how the current “woke” culture could not allow the show to be made today, adding that cancel culture has led to self-censorship and fake virtue signaling, stifling honest conversations and differing viewpoints.
Throughout the segment, Rachel Campos-Duffy and her family demonstrated how love, patience, and understanding can overcome challenges, making for an inspiring and emotional moment on FOX & Friends Weekend.
