Travis Kelce On Taylor Swift Hater Donald Trump Attending Super Bowl: “It’s A Great Honor”

Travis Kelce is playing in the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, in New Orleans, where Donald Trump is expected to attend.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently told reporters he is “honored” that the President of the United States would attend the big NFL game at the Caesars Superdome.

“It’s a great honor, I think, no matter who the president is,” Kelce told reporters, according to Reuters. “I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there – it’s the best country in the world so it’d be pretty cool.”

Kelce has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift, who has been attacked publicly by Trump. Swift famously endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election. Days after the endorsement, Trump took to social media and claimed, “I hate Taylor Swift.”

Before expressing his “hate” for the “Bejeweled” singer, Trump had “accepted” an AI-generated endorsement featuring Swift.

In a follow-up interview on Fox & Friends, Trump said of Swift, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden… But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Mahomes discusses performing in front of Trump ahead of Super Bowl

Swift is expected to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans to show her support to Kelce and the Chiefs.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Although Trump might not be a fan of Swift, Trump has many other supporters within the Chiefs organization.

Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, is a vocal Trump supporter, which Trump acknowledged in the same interview with Fox News, saying, “That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift.”

The Chiefs’ quarterback also weighed in on Trump attending the big game, saying, “It’s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president. Someone that is at the top position in our country.”

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is also a Trump supporter and publicly endorsed him during the 2024 presidential campaign.
