Almost every day, Caitlin Clark sets a new women’s basketball record despite being 22 years old. However, this time, the record didn’t come on the court, and she technically didn’t have much to do with it.

According to TMZ Sports, a recent auction premiered a WNBA draft rookie card featuring Clark. It was an autographed 1/1 Blue Viper 2024 Panini Instant WNBA Draft card featuring her posing with an Indiana Fever jersey right after being drafted.

It sold for $84,000 with 79 bids, breaking the record for the most expensive women’s basketball card ever. It would still be the most expensive women’s sports card in history if it weren’t for Serena Williams having three separate cards that sold for over $99,000.

It broke Clarke’s previous record when a Bowman U Superfractor Autographed 1/1 card sold for $78,000 in January.

This record will likely be shattered again very soon, as a pair of Clark and Angel Reese autographed rookie cards in perfect mint condition are being auctioned off. Both are numbered out of 99.
