The social media post was captioned, “@arianagrande was so real for this.
“Where do you think she’ll land on the scale? Find out Thursday @ 11AM ET.”
In the clip, Ariana, 31, asked host Shawn Evans, “What do you expect of my performance today?”
In what has become her normal, high-pitched voice the Thank You, Next singer continued, “Where do you think I’ll sit on the scale from DJ Khaled to Lorde? Where do you think I’ll rank?”
Impressed by her research, Shawn laughingly replied, “That is the scale.”
“I’m going to go Lorde leaning,” Shawn answered prompting Ariana to say, “That’s generous.”
The host continued, “But however it happens, is how it’s supposed to happen, I think.”
“That’s so nice. That’s a lie and it’s nice. Thank you,” Ariana joked.
In the post’s comment section, fans remarked on her fluctuating voice with one person writing, “She changes her voice everytime she pops up on my feed.
“I hate this new voice,” commented another.
A third joked, “Ariana Grande looks like a robot version of Ariana Grande.”
MID-SENTENCE SWITCH-UP
Earlier this summer, Ariana explained why her voice changed mid-sentence on a podcast.
The Break Free singer appeared on a special two-part Podcrushed episode on June 12 and 17.

On the podcast, hosted by Penn Badgley, 37, Ariana talked about her childhood, Broadway origins, and acting alongside her best friends.
The Love Me Harder singer also revealed why she keeps casting TV serial killers as her music video leads, Penn appeared in the singer’s The Boy Is Mine video after playing a killer on You.
During the second episode, many fans were intrigued by Ariana’s sudden, mid-sentence voice change while speaking to Penn and podcast co-hosts, Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.
A listener posted a clip of the moment on X, formally Twitter, with the caption, “This voice change is sending me. Regular Ariana was coming out for a second.”
In the video, Ariana said, “That’s the only thing I thought of,” as the hosts laughed at her comment.
“That’s how I felt. I was like, ‘What just happened?'” she continued in a deeper, huskier voice than what fans are accustomed to.
Her voice then raised several octaves as she swapped back and said, “Yeah, I’ve been writing a lot and maybe there’s some more but I would like to do a deluxe at some point.
“THE VOICE CHANGE OMG,” another stunned fan commented on the video.
Ariana responded to the comments about her voice switch as she explained, “habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health. i intentionally change my voice placement (high / low) often depending on how much singing i’m doing.
The We Can’t Be Friends singer added, “i‘ve always done this BYE.”
HEALTHY VOICE
Ariana changing the pitch of her voice to assist in her craft is nothing new.

“But it sounds a tiny bit raspy, but I’m trying, but I usually talk, like, lazy and gravely but I’m trying to place it healthier.”
Shaking her head Ariana added, “But I sound like an idiot.”
