Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese wipes her brow during the first half...

It was a season with many good moments for the Chicago Sky, as Angel Reese was selected in the most recent WNBA Draft and she showed why she can be star in this league, however that doesn’t mean it was an over all horrible season for the team.

The Chicago Sky did not qualify to play in the postseason this year after what many believed could have been a season in which they could fought for a spot after starting the season with 11 wins and 15 losses.

Hopes were high for a turnaround, but things could not be done, a the team only managed to drop 12 games to end the season and they only won a pair and their last game was not pretty as they were blown out by the Connecticut Sun 87 to 54.

Angel Reese was missing

It was a total of 13 wins and 27 losses in the final record for the Sky and of course that the absence of Angel Reese was felt. She suffered an injury on one of her wrists and that sidelined her for the rest of the season.

The Chicago Sky finished the year with a devastating record, after only winning 2 games without Reese. “I fell on my hand when I got the and-1,” she recalled after the injury occurred on September 6th.

“It is a small crack in by bone… Basically, the doctors told me I could either not get surgery or have surgery. This risk of not having surgery, I could literally have arthritis at 22 years old, that wasn’t an option,” she added and now it’s time to think about next season, while she and the rest of her team watches the playoffs on television.
