Nicki Minaj continues to make waves in her illustrious career, recently achieving a significant milestone by surpassing Cardi B with the highest-certified single ever released by a female rapper in the United States.

Nicki Minaj Now Dethrones Cardi B With Highest Certified Single

As of March 29, Minaj’s 2010 hit “Super Bass” has been certified 12 times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), eclipsing Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” which holds an 11-time platinum certification as of 2022.

Minaj celebrated the news on X, expressing her gratitude, “POW!!! Thank you to Republic Records for always having my back. Barbs!!!!!!”

In addition to this achievement, Minaj’s latest album, *Pink Friday 2*, has also been certified platinum, joining the ranks of her previous successful albums such as *Queen*, *The Pinkprint*, *Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded*, and the original *Pink Friday*.

This milestone is particularly sweet for Minaj as it puts her ahead of her rap rival, Cardi B. The two have had a tumultuous relationship, with tensions flaring up publicly following a dramatic confrontation at a Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party during New York Fashion Week in 2018. Before their feud, they collaborated on Migos’ song “Motorsport.”

In response to the ongoing drama, Cardi B took to Instagram, expressing her frustration with Minaj’s actions and perceived threats against other artists who collaborated with her. Cardi B also addressed concerns about her family, saying, “When you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother… I’ve worked too hard and come too far to let anybody mess with my success!”

Despite their conflicts, both rappers have continued to showcase their talents through their music, each achieving significant milestones in their careers.
