Former NBA superstar Michael Jordan is having a hard time selling his $15 million Illinois mansion, and it does appear that it might never change hands.

The residence has been on the market since 2012 and is now in a despicable state, as shown in a video made by TikTok user @decayingmidwest, who broke into the seven-acre property a few days ago and recorded what he saw.

The Highland Park home was initially listed for $29 million, but Jordan lowered the asking price to $16 million in 2013. He’s now looking for $14.855, a figure made up of digits adding up to his old 23 jersey number.

The video, seen below, shows the basketball court, which features a Chicago Bulls logo, flooded. The kitchen appears to have been undergoing renovations that were never completed, as cupboard doors are seen on the floor while the room is otherwise trashed.

Michael Jordan’s Mansion Still Has Plenty Of Draws

Of course, there are other features that could possibly convince one to buy, including a vast infinity-edge pool with an island in the middle, several bars, a sprawling patio, multiple lounges with large flatscreen TVs, as well as a card and cigar room.

Interest in the property revived after ‘The Last Dance’ came out in 2020.

“I’m not sure if it’s because of the TV programs that they did (the 2020 “The Last Dance” documentary miniseries on Netflix) or if it’s because people have an interest in looking at it a little bit differently, but suddenly there does appear to be a bit of interest in it,” Compass’s Katherine Malkin told The Chicago Tribune in 2022.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for attempting to break into the mansion last year. Whether an arrest will be made following this latest intrusion remains to be seen.
