Caitlin Clark’s first visit to Yankee Stadium was a memorable one.
The Indiana Fever guard and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, attended the Saturday, Aug 10. double-header at Yankee Stadium against the Texas Rangers — and also got to meet the team’s star players.
Clark, 22, posed with Yankees captain Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo. She also took a picture wearing her custom no. 22 jersey with Juan Soto, who currently wears the same number for the baseball team.
Along with meeting the players, Clark joined the team on the field for a game of catch. She also signed baseballs for fans and stopped by the broadcasting booth during the game.
Clark revealed in an interview during the Saturday games that “amazing” Rizzo, 35, gave her a tour of the Yankees clubhouse.
“Meeting all of them, they’re just so down to earth,” she said. “They understand as another professional athlete that days get long. It’s fun to interact with other athletes.”
Clark also told Michael Kaye and Paul O’Neil during the YES Network broadcast in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she was most excited to meet the Yankees captain, 32. “But I’m sure everybody says that,” she added.
“He’s way bigger than even people think. You know he’s big, but when you get next to him, it’s like, ‘Oh, my gosh. He could probably play football or just about any sport he wants to,’ ” Clark said of Judge before calling him “down to earth” and “a good guy.”
