Caitlin Clark is one of the most important players in the WNBA, and as that there is no question that because of it everyone is throwing shade at her. With that said, many other have come out to defend her and support her amid attacks that to many are without any foundation.

This time it has been a former NFL quarterback the one that has come to defend her. Robert Griffin III recently was laid off by ESPN because of budget reasons but this has not been something that has prevented him from speaking his mind.

RG3 has come to the defense of a rising WNBA star. The former Washington quarterback took to social media to criticize WNBA players who appear to have issues with Caitlin Clark and the attention she’s received since being drafted by the Indiana Fever.

The controversy started after a minor confrontation between Clark and Seattle Storm’s Skylar Diggins-Smith, followed by Jewel Loyd raising a question during a post-game press conference.

Robert Griffin III posted on X, “It’s VERY CLEAR WNBA players are tired of Caitlin Clark getting all the shine and being the focal point of every discussion. It’s beyond competitiveness and physical play. They don’t even want to answer questions about her. If they don’t like it, THEN STOP HER.” This reaction confirms that many sportscasters and former players are standing by Caitlin.

In the latter half of the current WNBA season, Caitlin Clark has continued to showcase her exceptional skills and on-court leadership. Her gameplay has been marked by high-scoring performances, sharp shooting, and impressive assists, making her a central figure for the Indiana Fever. Clark’s ability to read the game and make quick decisions has allowed her to dominate in crucial moments, often turning the tide in favor of her team. Despite facing increased defensive pressure from opponents, she has maintained her composure, contributing significantly to the Fever’s overall performance. Her resilience and competitive edge have kept her as one of the standout players in the league.
