Breaking News: Indiana Fever Owner Herb Simon And Head Coach Stephanie White Just Officially Announced The Departure Of Another Two Top Sensational Star Players…

This offseason, the Indiana Fever has been quite active. Christie Sides was fired, and Stephanie White became the new head coach.

The Fever then recruited shooting guard Sophie Cunningham and forwards DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard. In a recent move that has drawn some criticism from the fan base, the Fever also signed Brianna Turner, a former forward for the Chicago Sky.

According to the team’s official statement, veteran Kristy Mitchell has opted to skip the 2025 season, which is some significant news for the Fever.

Kristy Wallace, a forward with the Indiana Fever, declared today that she will not be participating in the 2025 WNBA season, choosing instead to sit out the year.

Wallace’s contract will thus be suspended, and the Fever will retain her rights, preventing her from making a comeback in the 2025 campaign,” the team said.

Kristy Wallace (3) and Caitlin Clark (22) of the Indiana Fever celebrate together.

announcement, Wallace also issued a statement.

“This has not been an easy decision for me, but one that I make knowing it is what is in my best interest at this time,” Wallace stated. “I would like to thank the Fever organization for working with me throughout this process, giving me both time and consideration, and for their support of my decision.”

Australian-born Wallace, 29, was selected by the Atlanta Dream in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Throughout her career, she has experienced many knee ailments, including a ruptured ACL during her last season with the Baylor Bears.

Wallace played with the Dream in 2022 before joining the Fever in 2023, following a stint in the WNBL in Australia. Wallace averaged 4.7 points per game while playing in 26 games with 15 starts during the previous season. Wallace also competed for the Australian National Team in the Summer Olympics in 2024.
