Classless Chiefs Fans and Swifties Attack C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s Mother’s Restaurant After Super Bowl Loss

Some unsportsmanlike Kansas City Chiefs fans, still reeling from their team’s loss in Super Bowl 59, have taken their frustrations to a petty and harmful level by targeting the restaurant owned by Del Johnson, mother of Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

Gardner-Johnson played a pivotal role in the Eagles’ dominant 40-22 victory over the Chiefs, earning his first Super Bowl ring in the process. Despite his stellar performance — contributing three tackles in the game — some Chiefs fans, unable to handle the loss, have resorted to leaving fake negative reviews for Del’s Kings Grill restaurant in Rockledge, Florida.

This childish retaliation, noted by Dov Kleiman and others on social media, is not only unfair but also threatens the livelihood of a hardworking woman who had no involvement in the game. As sports fans, it’s understandable to feel upset after a loss, but attempting to destroy someone’s business over a game is a low blow. Thankfully, many people are stepping up to counter this negativity by leaving five-star reviews for Kings Grill and showing their support for Del.

This Super Bowl win also marked a major personal redemption for Gardner-Johnson. After a crushing loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57, where his Eagles team came up short, he finally avenged that defeat with a near-perfect performance in Super Bowl 59. After spending a season with the Detroit Lions, Gardner-Johnson returned to the Eagles, and his loyalty was rewarded with a Super Bowl ring. His victory is a testament to his resilience, and a sweet revenge for a heartbreaking past loss.
