As the star of her own daytime series, it’s not often Kelly Clarkson is off the air. Well, fans have some questions for her… and the first one involves where she’s currently at.
On March 10, The Kelly Clarkson Show‘s official Instagram dropped the weekly schedule of guests viewers can expect to see on TV. Sharing photos of what the celebrities (which included Smokey Robinson, Amanda Seyfried, Joshua Jackson and more) are on for, folks also learned one major detail about the show. It turned out that Brooke Shields, Willie Geist and Molly Sims would all be guest hosts for the week, in place of Kelly during her absence.
“Week of March 10 on Kelly! ➡️,” read the official caption.
Given how fans have come to expect Kelly on the air every weekday, seeing the news of her taking time off from the show had them begging to know when she’ll make her grand return to TV.
“Where’s Kelly??😭😭😭,” one person exclaimed in the comments. “When will Kelly be back,” another inquired. “Where is Kelly? We are worried sick about her,” a different follower added.
Well, this is a shake-up no one seemed to anticipate! What’s more, this isn’t the first time this month Kelly had to step away from filming The Kelly Clarkson Show. The first week of March included a number of guest hosts as well, including Simu Liu, Roy Wood Jr. and Josh Groban.
So, where is Kelly and what is causing her to go on hiatus from The Kelly Clarkson Show? Although she hasn’t explicitly said anything about it in the last few days, it seems like it may have been an unexpected absence based on Simu’s comments on the March 3 episode.
“Before we get things started, I do have a confession to make,” he said at the top of his hosting gig. “I am not … Kelly Clarkson.”
