After a long seven-year absence from the WNBA playoffs, the Indiana Fever are finally returning to the postseason. This is a significant moment for the franchise, which had endured the longest playoff drought in league history. The excitement around the team is palpable.

Caitlin Clark has had an impressive rookie season in the WNBA. In the 33 games she has played so far, she has accumulated 627 points, 12 offensive rebounds and 174 defensive rebounds. She has surpassed the assists record that remained unbroken for 26 years, set by Ticha Penicheiro with 224 assists in 1998, by recording 276 assists so far. In addition, he adds 45 steals and 26 blocks. Clark has also set the new WNBA rookie three-pointers record with 98 three-pointers, surpassing Rhyne Howard’s 85 in 2022.
In her WNBA debut on May 14, Clark had 20 points, three assists and two steals, although she had 10 turnovers.
Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell, who has improved chemistry with Clark, has excelled in 33 games with 627 points, 26 offensive rebounds, 60 defensive rebounds, 63 assists, 24 steals and seven blocks.
Thanks to their outstanding performances, along with the team’s support, Clark and Mitchell have led the Indiana Fever back to the playoffs in hopes of achieving WNBA success.
