Garner says she loves spending time with Affleck’s family during the holidays, unlike Lopez who struggles with those close to her husband.
Following a report that Ben Affleck’s long-time friend Matt Damon isn’t supportive of his marriage to Jennifer Lopez, it appears his ex-wife Jennifer Garner is also throwing shade at J.Lo.
Earlier this month, Radar Online released a report in which a source claimed that Damon has always struggled seeing Lopez and Affleck together, as he finds the singer too controlling.

“Matt’s had serious reservations about Bennifer 2.0 since the beginning,” the source said. “He’s tried to be publicly supportive for Ben’s sake, but the fact is he hates the way J Lo treats his buddy and can no longer hold his tongue.”
“It’s no secret Ben and J Lo haven’t been getting along, as he always seems to be in the doghouse. It’s obvious something needs to change, but when Matt started giving Ben advice, he totally blew up,” they continued.
“History is repeating itself because 20 years ago they stopped talking for the exact same reason,” the source added. “But Matt can’t keep quiet, even if it means alienating Ben.”
Ben and J.Lo first dated in the early 2000s, and were even supposed to get married before calling off the wedding days before in 2003, citing media pressure as the reason. They ended their relationship the following year, only to reconcile almost two decades later in 2021. They finally wed last year in several high profile ceremonies.

Recently, Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner – with whom he shares three children – recently opened up about how she was spending the holidays.
The actress’s emphasis on wanting to spend quality time with her family (including Affleck’s loved ones) have been perceived by some as a subtle dig towards Lopez, considering she’s been accused of not getting along with those close to Ben, like Matt Damon.
“I’ll have my whole family together – my sisters, my niece, my nephews, I love them all, my brothers-in-law, of course, my parents, and my kids. I can’t wait for it,” Garner told Entertainment Tonight, saying that she always “dives into the kitchen” for the holidays and “loves” time with family.
For now, neither Damon nor Garner have responded to allegations that they have an issue with Lopez. Similarly, J.Lo and Affleck have been silent on the speculation surrounding their marriage, including divorce rumors which keep on persisting.
The couple are set to release a new movie together. Affleck is working as a writer on Lopez’s This Is Me… Now: The Film, which will follow the making of her ninth studio album. Lopez and Affleck haven’t collaborated on a film together since meeting on the set of Gigli, released in 2003.
The superstar recently admitted to having hesitations about working with her husband again.
“As artists, we have to follow our heart and this is me following my heart and doing something that maybe everybody didn’t think was the best idea, but I had to do it,” Lopez told Variety, declining to comment on any of the reports about their relationship.
