Drew Goins steals the show on Jeopardy!—but not just for his gameplay!

Jeopardy! Contestant Drew Goins Responds to Wardrobe Malfunction Buzz

Jeopardy! Second Chance tournament contestant Drew Goins has addressed fan reactions to his wardrobe mishap during Monday night’s episode.

The Hawaii-based journalist dominated the competition, securing an impressive $36,801 in winnings. However, fans couldn’t help but focus on more than just his gameplay.

Unexpected Distraction

Drew’s choice of attire—a thin, semi-transparent turtleneck—caught viewers’ attention, leading to a flurry of comments on social media.

“Drew’s shirt left little to the imagination,” one Reddit user quipped.

“Is it just me, or are Drew’s nipples impossible to ignore every time he’s on screen?” another commented.

“Definitely R-rated, but I loved it,” a third chimed in.

Acknowledging the buzz, Drew took to Instagram to play along with the humor, posting: “Sloppy seconds. Catch me and my nipples in the @jeopardy Second Chance Competition.”

His friends joined in on the fun, with one joking, “And that tight sweater—cold in the studio?”

Drew’s Redemption Moment

Despite the wardrobe distraction, Jeopardy! viewers were highly impressed with Drew’s performance, especially when he redeemed himself on a Taylor Swift trivia question.

“In 2014, Taylor Swift gave us this album named after a different year,” host Ken Jennings prompted.

“What is 1989!” Drew responded enthusiastically, earning applause from the audience.

This moment was particularly significant for Drew, as he previously blanked on a Taylor Swift question during a past episode—much to the dismay of his brother, a dedicated Swiftie.

Drew won and took home $36,801

“The night before taping, he prepped an entire practice board for me, and it was all Taylor Swift,” Drew shared with a laugh.

Jeopardy! Tournaments Evolution

Jeopardy! has undergone several changes over the years, introducing various tournament formats, including:

Tournament of Champions – Features top winners since the last tournament.
Second Chance Tournament – Gives select non-winners a shot at redemption.
Champions Wildcard – Open to previous one-, two-, and three-day champions.
Jeopardy! Masters – A high-stakes primetime showdown among top champions.
Celebrity Jeopardy! – Featuring famous faces competing for charity.

In a major shift, the show has moved away from specialized competitions like College and Kids Tournaments, opting for a more sports-like model with Masters at the pinnacle.

What’s Next for Drew?

With his victory, Drew has secured a spot in the next round of the Second Chance tournament. Fans eagerly anticipate his return, hoping for more thrilling gameplay—and perhaps a different fashion choice.

Will he continue to dominate the competition, or will his wardrobe steal the spotlight once again? Stay tuned!
