Mike Tyson had a disappointing night on Friday against Jake Paul and fell in an undoubted unanimous eight-round decision
A moment of the fight between Tyson and Jake Paul
The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, after generating great expectations, ended up disappointing more than one. It was a poor exhibition in the ring, when Jake Paul had everything to go for a resounding victory and realized that he did not know how, and an ‘Iron Mike’ who tried in the first two rounds and realizing that he could not sustain that pace of fight, preferred to defend himself to try to withstand the distance.
As many analysts predicted, the age difference, 58 years for Tyson and 27 for Paul, was decisive. The judges scored the fight with a clear advantage for the youtuber with scorecards of 80-72 and double 79-73.
At the end of the fight, criticism began against the fighters, while in the stands there were whistles towards the end of the fight at the poor spectacle they were witnessing.
The real loser was the audience
However, the spectacle left much to be desired for the fans, who expressed their discontent with boos in the second half of the fight. Many left the venue without waiting for the verdict.
The anger of the fans was transferred to a house, where a fan, possibly of ‘Iron Mike’ could not believe the spectacle he was seeing and, once he heard the verdict of the judges, he became enraged and took it out on his screen.
Visibly upset, the man threw an object that smashed the glass in the center of the screen and then went against it, trying to tear it from the wall and not being able to do so, repeatedly hit it until it was completely destroyed and then withdrew with his frustration to another room.
The video went viral on social media and immediately began speculation as to whether his anger was because he could not believe the show given by one of the greatest legends of boxing, by the verdict of the judges or because he lost a large sum betting. The truth is that now he will have to wait for the arrival of Black Friday to take advantage of discounts and replenish his screen.
