Fans Explain Why Everyone Loved Watching Caitlin Clark Play Women’s Basketball After the Team USA vs. Team France Gold Medal Game Was Over.

The American Women’s basketball team secured a 6-0 streak and ultimately won the gold medal for the country in the 2024 Paris Olympics. With a star-studded roster including A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, and Sabrina Ionescu, Team USA delivered back-to-back amazing performances that contributed to their remarkable success. However, basketball fans were disappointed by the absence of a star player who had been a sensation in the WNBA since her debut game. Caitlin Clark, the star player for the Indiana Fever, was not included in the Team USA roster.

Despite this, her supporters voiced their thoughts on social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter) following the conclusion of the Women’s basketball event at the 2024 Olympics.

Diana Taurasi’s stats on Team USA have frustrated a fan who believes Clark would have been a better choice. “This is who we left Caitlin Clark off the US Olympic Team for.”

Meanwhile, another fan made a hilarious joke while comparing Clark with Taurasi, saying, “Caitlin Clark watching Diana Taurasi warm the bench every game in the Olympics after being told she wasn’t good enough to make the team.”

Another fan was devasted by Team USA choosing Chelsea Gray and Diana Taurasi over Clark in the roster, saying, “Chelsea Gray and Diana Taurasi over Caitlin Clark is a joke. And you can’t convince me that this team couldn’t have used Angel Reese’s rebounding.”

Another fan commented, “You know why everyone loves watching Caitlin Clark play women’s basketball? Watch this gold medal game… there are elementary school basketball games that are easier to watch them this. My god.”

Another fan mentioned, “Can’t believe how many Americans were hoping the women lost so they could prove a point about Caitlin Clark.”

Four-Time Champ Slams Team USA for Excluding Clark

In addition to Fans’ comments, a four-time NBA champion also discussed Team USA’s decision not to select Clark for the roster. Moreover, Host and star player Draymond Green, who recently criticized Rudy Gobert, stated on a recent episode of his podcast that Clark should have been on the USA squad.

“I think Caitlin Clark should have been on the USA team. It’s great for the brand… We talk brand any other time, let’s not act like it don’t matter now.” Green said.

By observing the support from the fans and players, it is evident that Team USA will consider Clark for the next Olympics.
