Megan Thee Stallion Claims Tory Lanez Offered Money for Her Silence
In a new twist to the ongoing legal drama between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, Megan recently claimed in an interview that Lanez offered her money to keep quiet about the night he allegedly shot her in the foot. According to Megan, after the incident, Lanez tried to buy her silence, offering her a substantial amount of money in hopes that she wouldn’t go public with the details of the shooting.
The incident took place in July 2020 after a party in the Hollywood Hills. Megan alleges that Lanez shot her twice in the foot as she attempted to leave his vehicle following an argument. Initially, Megan was hesitant to come forward, fearing the backlash and not wanting to escalate tensions between the Black community and the police. However, she later decided to publicly name Lanez as her attacker.
In her recent interview, Megan shared that Lanez approached her with an offer of a million dollars in exchange for her silence. “He was begging me not to say anything. He even offered me a million dollars to stay quiet,” Megan revealed. Despite the alleged bribe, Megan chose to speak out, prioritizing her safety and truth over the potential payout.
Lanez, on the other hand, has consistently denied these allegations. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. Lanez and his legal team maintain that the accusations are baseless and that the truth will emerge in court.
This case has drawn significant media attention, not only because of the high-profile individuals involved but also because it highlights broader issues of violence against women and the challenges faced by Black women in seeking justice.
As the legal proceedings continue, the public remains divided, eagerly awaiting the court’s final decision. Megan Thee Stallion has received widespread support from fans and fellow artists, who admire her courage in speaking out. The case serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of addressing and confronting violence against women, regardless of the individuals involved.
