Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman ‘f*ck with fans’ as they break down Wolverine's return

WARNING: CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE… IT’S DEADPOOL, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have shared a ‘quick explainer video’ addressing a few things about Deadpool 3, which will feature Jackman as Wolverine, as revealed last night. The only thing is, there was a slight technical issue… watch below:

Posting the video on Twitter, Reynolds promises to tackle any timeline questions, the Logan canon, MCU FAQs and ‘whether we can do this all day or not’.

Jackman says: “I had a lot of questions. I’m sure you had a lot of questions. But, rest assured, we’re going to answer them right now.

“Like, for example, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?

Reynolds then cuts in: “Logan takes place in 2029. Totally separate thing. Logan died in Logan. Not touching that.

“What actually happens in our film is these two f**king guys…”

However, just as they get into the nitty gritty, ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’ by Wham! suddenly blasts out and drowns the duo out.

Some classic Deadpool trolling, right there.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Jackman would be returning as Wolverine for the forthcoming third Deadpool movie, which, it was also announced, will be released in September 2024.

Reynolds said in a video that Deadpool’s arrival into the Marvel Cinematic Universe had to be huge.

“I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth and motivation, new meaning,” he said, adding: “Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside, and I… I have nothing… yeah… just… completely… empty up there… and terrifying.”

And what other way to do that than by getting one of the biggest names in the superhero realm to star in your film?

Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to reveal what’s in store for the MCU while promising a ‘big swing’ for the third Deadpool film.

“How do we elevate it in the way we’ve been able to with Civil War, and Infinity War and Ragnarok?” said Kevin Feige.

“It’s very fun to be in the world of the Ryan Reynolds show.”
